THE NATIONAL BRADCAST FROM THE DESK OF THE COUNTRY GENERAL COORDINATOR (CGC) OF FINGERSMARK LIFE IMPROVEMENT FOUNDATION *HISTORICAL LANE OF FINGERSMARK LIFE IMPROVEMENT FOUNDATION* 1. The FLIF started as a cluster (Fingersmark) owned by Evangelist Akan Bassey during the struggle of participating in Midwest City Community Improvement Grant Program on January 2022. 2. On February 2022, the idea of starting a foundation (NGO), a non-profit making organization was fully initiated. 3. The idea was sold to beneficiaries under Fingersmark Cluster, and all bought the idea of starting a foundation. Names were suggested by Evangelist Akan Bassey (a) Fingersmark Foundation (b) Fingersmark Life Improvement Foundation to Cooperate Affair Commission (CAC) on March 29, 2022. 4. Evangelist/Mrs Akan Bassey took upon themselves to register the Board of Trustees of the Fingersmark Life Improvement Foundation, which the suggested names were submitted via a lawyer to CAC on April 23, 2022. 5. The process was also supported with a token of N10,000 from Chief Thomas Alasi, who is now being the National General Secretary of the foundation, appointed by the CGC. 6. While the process was ongoing, the CGC made a National Broadcast and announced the appointment of National Officers on April 29, 2022 at 1.43am for the following positions: (a) Country General Coordinator (b) General Secretary (c) Accountant (d) Volunteers Coordinator (e) Purchasing Coordinator (f) Scholarship Coordinator (g) Projects Coordinator (h) Fund-Raising Coordinator (i) Intervention Coordinator (j) Registrant (k) Media Coordinator (l) Conference and Logistics Coordinator (m) Legal Adviser (n) Disbursement Coordinator (o) Programs Coordinator (p) Mobilization Coordinator (q) Auditor (r) Personal Assistant to CGC (s) Health Adviser (t) Zonal Coordinators 7. While celebrating the appointment, in the morning of April 29, 2022, the news of the Registration of the Board of Trustees for Fingersmark Life Improvement Foundation was came with positive information that, the registration was successfully and approved by CAC. 8. The Certificate, the registration documents and Board of Trustees constitution was issued in a soft copy to the Country General Coordinator of Fingersmark Life Improvement Foundation via whatsapp by the Lawyer who is now the National Legal Adviser. Congratulations to every one of us. 9. The Branch is now authorized to design her letter head to carry the following information: (a) Fingersmark Life Improvement Foundation (b) Branch Name (c) Address of Secretariat (d) Branch Email (e) Phone number (f) National Address, Email, Website, Phone number 10. The CGC advised all the Branches to have a copy of the CAC and to be displaced on the wall in the secretariat/office to be sighted by who ever demanded. 11. The CGC said, all officers of the foundation from the wards to national must register and subscribe to the annual subscription of the foundation: that, all national appointees must register and subscribe under Grand Volunteer, the state officers must register under Vision Volunteer, LGA officers under Service Volunteer and Ward officers under Active Volunteer. 12. All the officers from the ward to national must register directly from the National, and 20% of the subscription charge must be sent to the Branch of which the officer registered from while 80% remain in the National. All volunteers must register directly from the branch, and 20% must be sent to the National, 20% also must be sent to the LGA and 60% remain in the Branch. 13. The Branch is not authorized to print ID Card, Badge and Form. However, Branch is authorized to produce T-shirt, Polo, Cap, Uniform, Tie, Umbrella, Pen, Exercise books, etc to generate internal revenue to fund the secretariat. 14. The Branch is authorized to go out and seek for donors within the State to be used by the state to improve life in the community that needs assistance. 20% of every donation to the states must be sent to the National for keeping of National secretariat and projects. 15. No Branch is authorized to seek for foreign donors. All prospective foreign donors are to communicate with the national representative, Country General Coordinator. Therefore, any realization from the foreign donors must be sent to the foundation national account. 16. All national officers must commence their function and prepare for national inauguration which will be held at South-South Zonal Headquarters (Uyo) or National Headquarters (Calabar). It is advised that you use this time to make arrangement to know the cost of transport fare from your location to Uyo or Calabar. During the national inauguration, all officers will be issued with ID Card and Badge according to how it was requested. It will be a great national feast featuring leadership seminar. 17. Branch is authorized to appoint Grand Patron and other Patrons within the state. 18. The CGC will soon appoint Chairman/members and Head/members into the following National committees and departments: (a) Data Collection Department (b) Conference and Awards Committee (c) Programs and Intervention Department (d) Purchasing Department (e) Department of National Audits (f) Fund-Raising Department (g) Healthcare Department (h) Conflict Resolution Department (i) Disbursement Validation Committee (j) Transport and Logistics Department (k) General Printing and Media Department (l) Finance, Projects and Program Investigation Committee. Therefore, the State Coordinators should do same in their state. The state committees are: (a) Data Collection Committee (b) Conference/Intervention Committee (c) Healthcare Committee (d) Disbursement Validation Committee (e) Purchasing and Logistics Committee 19. All the state coordinators should ensure they have complete and active state excos and officers at ward and LGA. 20. Finally, the National shall open the foundation account with any of the following banks or all: (a) United Bank for Africa UBA (b) Union Bank of Nigeria UBN (c) First Bank of Nigeria FBN. All the Branches and LGA shall receive from the National Board of Trustees letter of authorization to open account with the foundation name. For the National, (a) Country General Coordinator A (b) General Secretary B (c) Accountant B (d) any one of the national officer (optional) must be signatories to the national account. For the Branch (a) Coordinator A (b) Secretary - B (c) Treasurer B (d) Financial Secretary B must be signatories to the Branch Account. For LGA (a) Focal Person A (b) Secretary B (c) Treasurer B.
